Elsbeth Bekooij

Head of Insolvency Accounts

After graduating from the European Law School at Maastricht University in 2003, Elsbeth Bekooij spent a number of years in Spain, first completing a postgraduate master’s degree in bank management in 2006 before taking a job with a Spanish bank. Upon her return to the Netherlands, she followed the compulsory introductory course for prospective insolvency administrators handling bankruptcies under the Debt Management (Natural Persons) Act. Having spent the past seven years acting as a court-appointed administrator in both the Amsterdam and the Zeeland West-Brabant districts, her decision to switch to the Insolvency Accounts department at RWV Advocaten in 2017 was a logical move. “My experience as a court-appointed administrator has given me a keen insight into all sorts of different aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy. As the head of Insolvency Accounts here at RWV, I can offer added value not just to our own receivers, but also to our insolvent clients.”
