Joyce joined RWV Advocaten as a legal assistant, and has been employed as a lawyer specialising in company law since 2012. Joyce takes a special interest in mergers and acquisitions, buy-ins, buy-outs, investments and company restructuring, and all the legal aspects involved, including finance and collateral.
Working as a member of a close-knit team, she sees it as her task to pilot her client through all the stages of the takeover process. She has acquired considerable experience in recent years in assisting corporate clients with both domestic and international transactions.
Joyce has a policy of researching the market in which a company operates in order to make an accurate assessment of the threats and opportunities facing it. At the same time, she’s keenly aware of the human dimension: “I like to put myself in my client’s shoes, but also to try and be honest with him or her if a plan really is unrealistic or involves an excessive degree of risk. I believe in taking an engaged, systematic and creative approach to problem-solving. In short, it’s all about helping people fulfil their dreams and achieve their ambitions.”
Joyce is a board member of a local business network and a member of Jurismus International, a network of young lawyers that is part of the Eurojuris International network of lawyers. One of the aims of Jurismus is to develop the personal, professional and intercultural competences of its members with the aid of courses, debates and academic programmes. Thanks to her membership of the network, Joyce has direct access to other lawyers and legal specialists, in Europe and in the rest of the world.
