Having previously worked for RWV Advocaten as a student trainee, Marina returned to the firm in 2016, when she was appointed as a legal assistant in the Family Law Practice. Marina completed a master’s degree in civil law at Leiden University. As part of her bachelor’s degree, she spent some time as an intern with a law firm in the Netherlands Antilles and gained practical legal experience with a variety of law firms and other organisations.
Marina has a special affinity with family law. ‘Family law is an area of the law that is all about people and emotions. For me, the need to translate emotions and feelings into a lasting legal solution is what makes family law not just a tremendous challenge, but also a very all-round discipline.’
