Marina is a family lawyer and mediator at RWV Advocaten. Her clients describe her as enthusiastic, smart, efficient and methodical. Marina takes a keen interest in her clients, who make clear that they appreciate her dedication and practical thinking.
Before joining RWV Advocaten, Marina gained experience with a variety of law firms and other organisations, also spending time as an intern with a law firm in Curaçao (Dutch Caribbean). Marina developed an affinity with family law during her time as a student at Leiden University, and it’s an area in which she has specialised since her graduation.
“Among all fields of law, family law is probably the one that’s most about people and emotions. It’s the combination of this aspect with the legal and financial aspects that – for me – makes family law such a challenging, all-round discipline – one in which I feel completely at home.”
Marina specialises in divorce cases, including those involving international aspects, and involving all relevant facets such as resolving points arising from a prenuptial agreement, dividing a community of property, and calculating maintenance payments on behalf of business owners and expatriate employees, for example. She takes a special interest in relatively complex divorce cases and cross-border issues.
