I have been working at RWV Advocaten since 2008, so I know the organisation like the back of my hand. That comes in useful, because my days are invariably hectic in our high-performing and high-pressure environment. Fortunately, I have a healthy sense of humour and can keep things in perspective.
As a member of the executive board, I am closely involved in the daily affairs of our office. I also participate in – and contribute to – the partnership meetings. My job entails a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, from employment conditions and ICT issues to defective coffee machines, so no two days are the same.
I help people with all kinds of problems. Sometimes I provide a concrete solution, and other times they simply need someone to listen. In essence, I ensure that our employees can work smoothly so that they can optimally support our clients. Furthermore, I am the main point of contact for most of our external relations.
My practical and tactical approach stems from my strong sense of responsibility for the culture, work environment, atmosphere and professionalism in our offices. I believe that if everyone is happy, that radiates both internally and externally.
I never have a truly quiet day, but that suits me. In my free time, I enjoy running and I also appreciate things of beauty – whether works of art or just simple, everyday objects made with love. A little attention makes everything look better.
