Environmental protection law
The law on environmental protection is part of general environmental law. Environmental protection law consists of a huge number of laws, decrees and orders all of which are intended to promote a healthy and clean environment.
The key statute is the Environmental Management Act (Wet milieubeheer), which is the framework law for all permits in relation to activities that pose a potential threat to the environment.
