I always go for the win when it comes to sports and games, and the same is true in the courtroom. This gives me just as much pleasure and satisfaction.
My work as a lawyer involves property in the broadest sense of the word, with the main focus on landlord and tenant law and the purchase and sale of property. I was born and raised in Katwijk, so I know this area like the back of my hand and have a great affinity with our clients from the Duin en Bollenstreek region.
I take a direct, no-nonsense approach, without doubt or hesitation. Although I am approachable and friendly, I can also be critical and ad rem. I am open and honest with my clients about the strengths and weaknesses of their case.
Court proceedings are exciting for me; I enjoy a good battle and am not timid in court. Although I love the ‘real’ work in court, I am always open to reaching a good settlement, especially if this would be more practical and realistic for my client.
To clear my mind, I enjoy surfing, tennis and fitness. I like to watch football, enjoy a good pub quiz, take a keen interest in culture and history and follow current affairs closely. The past continues to resonate in the present and, as a lawyer, I like to make use of this.
