I love challenges. Growing, developing and becoming an expert. I started my career working for an employers’ organisation, which proved to be a great place to gain a wealth of experience in employment cases very quickly.
I’m now an expert in collective labour agreement (CLA) Law, and I assist employers with individual employment contracts and regulations, dilemmas concerning acquisitions and reorganisations, the works council and sick employees.
Employees, both in the Netherlands and abroad, also approach me. This enables me to follow the line of reasoning of both employers and employees, and vice versa. I use clear, understandable language, so that my clients can grasp both what I am saying and the legal aspects of their case. This works very well.
Working with people, emotions can sometimes run high, and this can get quite intense, but it is part of my job and I can handle it just fine. I listen carefully, ask critical questions and am able to switch quickly, analyse what’s going on and come up with practical solutions. I also do what I say, and do it promptly. My clients can build on this.
You never stop learning in my profession; you continue to learn on the job. I am ambitious when it comes to learning all I can to discover what is needed to solve a case. I enjoy sharing this knowledge with others via vlogs, webinars, articles and master classes. In turn, I also learn from this.
I enjoy being in a warm, convivial atmosphere with my friends and family around me, and I also love to travel. I relax with CrossFit, and have also been dancing for many years; something that is also about taking the right steps at the right time.
